Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. It should be read alongside the privacy notice provided by our principal firm, New Leaf Distribution Ltd, when you become a client.

What we collect and why

Enquiry and calculator forms. Your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, your timing, any notes you add and, for the mortgage calculator, the figures you enter. We use these to reply to your enquiry and to prepare for a first conversation. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you tick the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.

Newsletter. Your email address, the page you signed up from and the date, so we can send you our monthly email. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Website use. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a small setting in your browser so that the newsletter pop-up is not shown to you repeatedly. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security.

Who we share it with

Enquiries are handled by Sarah Drakard. Newsletter addresses are stored with our email marketing provider, which processes them only on our instructions. If that provider holds data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law. If you book a call through our online calendar, Calendly processes your booking details under its own privacy policy. If you become a client, your information is shared with New Leaf Distribution Ltd as our principal firm and, with your agreement, with lenders, insurers and providers to arrange your products. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become client relationships are deleted within 12 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept for the periods required by our regulator and principal firm, typically six years after the relationship ends.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email sarah@cruzefs.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
